Dani Alves` ex-wife has spoken out about the allegations against him.

A few days ago, Alves was arrested on suspicion of rape. The former Barcelona, PSG and Juventus footballer faces 4 to 12 years in prison.

Earlier, it became known that the girl who accused Alves of rape refused compensation and wants Dani to be sent to prison. The footballer gave contradictory testimony three times.

Dani would never do that. I say this because I have known him for 22 years. This is a nightmare, this cannot happen in reality.

I haven`t had a chance to contact him yet. I know he`s upset, but he`s okay. I will do my best to help him. This is a shock for our children too. These are teenagers, so they are taking what happened very hard. His family is depressed because they want to see him but don`t get the chance.
