For several years, Panathinaikos has been in turmoil and is not even involved in the title fight, and this season is no exception. Today, however, the fans of the `clover` enjoyed an incredible turn from 0:2 to 3:2 in the derby against AEK. At the break everything seemed lost, but PAO stormed in the second half and reached the triumph with a goal from Dimitrios Kolovecios in the 88th minute.
AEK was a favorite and quickly took advantage of hesitant performances in defense of its rival. Michalis Bakakis found the score in the 18th minute and Nelson Oliveira was accurate in the 36th.
The intrigue returned in the 67th minute thanks to former Manchester United striker Federico Maceda. Just three minutes later Juan Perea equalized, and at the end a header with Kolovecios brought Panathinaikos` three points. The Olympiacos leader had some difficulties with Atromitos, but had a 2-0 lead after goals from Danilo Podense (60 `) and El Arabi Sudani (62 `). Aris won with 2:1 Asteras Tripolis, and one of the hits was the work of the famous Lucas Sasha. Olympiacos leads with 26 points, followed by PAOK with 24 and AEK with 17. Panathinaikos is in 8th place with 12 points.
