Marca claims he had twice tried to stop his transfer from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer. Both cases, however, were already in the phase at which Camp Nou`s leadership had resigned and even insisted that the 222m-euro deal be completed sooner rather than later.

The information from the Madrid edition contradicts the words of the player`s father and his agent, who said he was against the transfer and tried to dissuade the attacker, but eventually agreed to his wish.
