Verdasco has sent Rafael Nadal to home

Fernando Verdasco ended the hopes of Rafael Nadal for the first title of "Masters 1000" tournament in Miami. Earlier this morning, both competed in a game of the third round, but surprisingly or not, Verdasco won with 6:4, 2:6, 6:3.

In this way Verdasco recorded second consecutive win over Nadal, as he managed to beat him in the third round in Madrid in 2012. Previously the Matador had won in 13 consecutive matches against his compatriot.

"This is a great victory. Miami tournament is very important, and tonight I had to rival one of the greatest players in the history. It is great feeling to play on this court. I really enjoyed every moment, "said Verdasco after the game.

"Today it was a good day for me. I played well and I won. I am very happy, and now I just need to recover for my next match, "said in additional Verdasco.

The 31 years old Spaniard will meet in the next round Juan Monaco, and the winner will qualify for the quarter final.

"Fernando game was better than mine in the third set and more than me he deserved the victory, in this there is no doubt," said Nadal in his turn. "In the last month and a half, my game has improved. But at the same time I`m very nervous in some moments of playing, especially in some important moments of the game, "admitted the Matador.
